Chesdan's Pizzeria, at 4465 S Archer Ave., is one of the city's best and oldest pizzerias. Here's Dan, the second generation owner of a family restaurant that has existed more than 50 years on the Southwest Side.

We recently visited Waldo Cooney's Pizza at 8541 S Pulaski Rd. The pizza here is fantastic!!! Here's a photo of Gary, the owner. Definitely stop here if you're in the neighborhood.

Here's owner Robert Degen with his crew: Tim Arena, Andy Dudas, Tony Cervantes and Mark Yore of Cavallone's Pizza at 5738 S Pulaski Rd. Robert was at one time chef to Michael Jordan and Donny Osmond. He won Chef of the Year in 1989 while working at Hotel Nikko.

Desiree Smith and Eleazar Hernandez make pizzas at Aiello's Golden Crust #1 that are nothing short of pure pizza heaven. They are located at 4358 N Elston Ave.

Bertucci's Brick Oven Pizzeria makes every one of their pizzas in the 850 degree heat of an old-fashioned brick oven. The result is fantastic pizza. Here's General Manager Greg Cieslak in front of their restaurant, located at 675 N LaSalle St.

As the pizza comes out of the oven at Adorno's Pizza, owner Tony Sperando adds parmeson cheese and parsley for a little added zest. They are located at 925 N Ashland. Great pizza at a great price!
